About Daniela

I am a Republican candidate for Michigan's 90th House District. I am a fiscal conservative with a heart for our community.

I was born and raised in Holland, Michigan where I currently reside. My parents, retired educators, instilled in me and my brother the values of hard work and community service. These values have guided me in my professional and personal life and they will continue to guide me when I serve as your Representative.

I am currently serving in my first term as the State Representative in Michigan's 90th House District. My professional career includes 10 years of public policy work at the federal and state level. I served as a Policy Advisor to former U.S. Representative Pete Hoekstra where I assisted with the development of policy relating to K-12 and higher education and health care. I also worked for the U.S. House Committee on Education and the Workforce as a Policy Advisor to the Chairman working to reform No Child Left Behind. Before serving in office I worked for Spectrum Health a not-for-profit health care system serving the West Michigan community.

I have been involved in the community through a variety of organizations including serving on the boards of the West Coast Chamber of Commerce, the Children's After School Achievement Program, (CASA), the Ronald McDonald House of Western Michigan, and Kids' Food Basket.

I am a graduate of West Ottawa High School, earned a B.A. from the University of Michigan, and have a M.A. in Education Policy and Administration from CUA.
