Auto insurance rates in Michigan are simply too high. Our No-Fault system is in desperate need of responsible reform. Those reforms must pass along savings from insurance companies to Ottawa County families and ensure that we are not subsidizing the insurance rates of Detroit and the rest of Southeast Michigan. Any no fault reform should pass along savings to you and your family.

I have been a relentless advocate for education reforms that will give students the best chance at success in a 21st Century economy and give parents more control over their children’s education.

I support conservative solutions to education:

  • Closing the talent gap – by giving schools flexibility to create and offer students access to skilled trades education.
  • More choice for parents – No student should be stuck in a failing school, parents should have control over where their kids go to school.
  • Preparing teachers for the classrooms of today – ensuring our educators are prepared to help all students reach their potential.

Our roads are crumbling and our infrastructure is outdated. I support President Trump’s infrastructure plan to rebuild our roads and bridges and believe our state must come up with a permanent solution to deal with the problem.

The fact of the matter is, we need smarter investment in our roads and infrastructure, while at the same time making sure we continue balancing the state budget. We’ve kicked the can down the road for too long and it’s time we find a long-term funding solution for our roads.

I’m proud to support law enforcement officers in our sheriff’s department, police departments and Michigan State Police.

I have worked on multiple bills that give our law enforcement community the tools and flexibility they need to keep our communities safe. I will continue working with police to as we work on sensible legislation that allows them to do their jobs more effectively.

I will work with police and local first responders to fight the current opioid epidemic. Countless lives have been ruined by drugs and it is imperative that we develop smart legislation that helps those dealing with substance abuse, their families as well as police and medical professionals who are dealing with this problem every day.

I have been an unwavering voice for pro-life policies and will continue to support a culture where the sanctity of human life is respected and cherished. I have consistently been endorsed my Right to Life and believe that every life is sacred.

We must address the rising cost of healthcare in Michigan. Obamacare has skyrocketed the cost of premiums and families are struggling to afford basic medical care. I spent years as an advisor to former U.S. Representative Pete Hoekstra and an advocate for patients at Spectrum Health. I have an in-depth knowledge of our health care system and serve on the Health Policy Committee in the Michigan House of Representatives. I will work for reforms that drive down the price of medical care, address out of control insurance costs and move us towards a system that puts patients in charge of their health care – not government.

It is difficult to reconcile the conspicuous absence of your position regarding illegal immigration and how it affects us in Michigan. Could you please comment on this critically important issue? I am all for legal immigration reform, but I abhor the lawlessness on display by the illegal aliens that are invading our country from all over the world.

Hi! I like your standards, policies, and values so far. But, there is nothing written about your stand on immigration solutions. What will you do about immigration?
